Apple has announced that it will release its next operating system, macOS 10.15 (Catalina), later this month. As with many new operating system releases, there are initially a number of incompatibilities with commonly used applications, and Catalina is no exception.
OIT has been testing the new operating system while it was in early-release status and has found numerous incompatibilities with OIT-supported software. OIT has published a Catalina Release Information page with more details about known issues and we’ll continue to update it as we learn more. Mac systems that are enrolled in Dedicated Desktop Support (DDS) will temporarily be prevented from upgrading as OIT works to resolve significant compatibility issues.
